As you install this in your pre-existing world, you will be given a guidebook with several menus, such as features and guides, crafting recipes, settings, and support.
Crafting Recipes
As said before, this addon tries to represent the functionality in a very simple approach, and just like the crafting recipes are also very easy.

This can be crafted with a book, a break, an apple, and a gold ingot
Small Backpack
This can be crafted with 3 leather pieces on the left side and 3 leather pieces on the right side, and a chest in between, and has 6 inventory slots.
Medium Backpack
It’s also crafted with 3 leather pieces on the left side and 3 leather pieces on the right side, and a chest in between, almost exactly like the small backpack, but it also requires an iron ingot below the chest, and has 9 inventory slots.
Large Backpack
This can be crafted with 3 leather pieces on the left side and 3 leather pieces on the right side, and a chest in between, and a diamond below the chest, and has 9 inventory slots.
Extra Large Backpack
This can be crafted with 3 leather pieces on the left side and 3 leather pieces on the right side, and a chest in between, and a nether quartz below the chest, and has 15 inventory slots.
Small Backpack
This can be crafted with 3 leather pieces on the left side and 3 leather pieces on the right side, and 2 shulker shells in the center, and has 27 inventory slots, which is the same as a Shulker Box.
Settings
The addon is compatible with multiplayer worlds and can only be accessed by the Admin, it does not offer tweakable settings for each indivisual players while the admin toggles the settings globally for all the players. It offers two simple toggles:
Allow Nested Backpacks
When turned on, it will allow you to put backpacks inside backpacks, technically creating unlimited storage, just like shulker boxes can be stored in chests, the backpack, however, can be carried in players inventory.
In case you’re wondering what will happen if you place backpacks inside other backpacks and the admin turns this feature off, the backpacks will still remain inside the nested backpack, but once removed from the backpack, they will get locked.
Moreover, you can put a small backpack in any bigger size of backpack and any large backpack into any kind of smaller backpack,
Keep Backpack Ownership
This limits the access of the backpack to only the owner of the backpack who created it, which is a useful feature for multiplayer worlds.

How to craft a Backpack?
To craft your first backpack, simply place a chest in the center of the crafting table and leather in all the left and right slots
How to open the backpack?
To access your backpack’s inventory, simply interact with the item while holding it in your main hand.
How to display the backpack on your back?
To display the backpack on your back, simply place the item in your off hand while it cannot be equipped in the chestplate slot.
Furthermore, every backpack has a different visual according to it’s sizes. When I was testing this, I tried to place the backpack on the ground, which is not possible currently, but I hope this feature is added in later versions, as it will look very cool.
How to dye the backpack?
To craft a colored backpack, simply add any Minecraft dye to the top middle slot while crafting it. You can dye your backpack into 16 colors: black, blue, brown, cyan, orange, gray, green, blue, light gray, yellow, red, purple, pink, magenta, lime, and white.

How to install this on my pre-existing world?
Firstly, you need to purchase and download the actual Simply Backpacks Addon from the Minecraft Marketplace. Once done, you will have to edit your pre-existing world, open the behavior packs menu, open the “my packs” dropdown list, and from there scroll to find the Simply Backpacks addon. Click it, and activate it.
