Is World Utilities Addon really the best Minecraft Survival Addon?

Do you want to get the best Minecraft Survival Addon? Is the normal Minecraft world now no longer exciting?

Well, today we will discuss everything about the latest World Utilities Addon by Gamefam for Minecraft Bedrock, including all the features, settings, and how to download this in your existing world.

This mod originally costs 310 Minecoins, but is currently on sale for 33% and costs 207 Minecoins, approximately $2, and you can easily get it from the Minecraft Marketplace!

Why the World Utilities Addon is the Best Minecraft Survival Addon?

This Addon introduces a lot of new concepts and items, such as the Multiblock Pickaxe, Experience Extractor, End Frame Breaker, and a lot more, which is also why it’s very famous among Minecraft Bedrock players and has more than 18000 reviews on the Minecraft Marketplace.

As you will enter your pre-existing world with this addon installed, you will receive 3 items: World Utilities Controller, World Utilities Update Book, and the World Utilities Guidebook.

The Updatebook is the changelog, which lists all the new changes, and the Guidebook is essentially a guide containing all the helpful material related to the new item’s uses and crafting recipes. The World Utilities Controller, however, is the Main tool to control this addon’s main settings.

Abilties

Vein Miner is one of the abilities added in this addon, which helps you break the whole vein by mining just one ore.

You can craft this with 2 Iron Ingots, a diamond pickaxe, and 2 redstone dust. And, as I told you before, once you attain it, you will have to tap on it once to turn this ability on and again or turn this off.

In the world utilities controller, you can customize whether this ability works on gravel or not. I personally like this a lot, as sometimes, players like me, with a potato pc, may accidentally break one of the gravels and lag the world.

This is personally my favourite one yet, it’s just a vein miner version for trees. You can craft it with 2 iron ingots, a diamond axe, and 2 redstone dust. Once activated, you can cut the whole tree by breaking just one log.

Moreover, the creators noticed that a lot of players want to break the leaves too, so another option was added in the settings, which controls whether this breaks the leaves or not.

It’s a great tool for the grinder friend who is always wandering in random caves, as when you turn this ability on, it automatically smelts any ores you mine, also working with ancient debris after the recent update.

It’s also very easy to craft with 8 furnaces and a diamond pickaxe in the middle of the crafting table.

In Minecraft Java, it’s pretty simple to turn on chunk borders; however, in Minecraft Bedrock, it’s not possible with addons. Creators added this ability, which will turn on the display for chunk borders.

If you don’t know already, mining for ancient debris on chunk borders significantly increases the chance of finding more. It is easily craftable with 2 iron ingots, 2 redstone dust, and a rocket.

Just like its name, this ability is like a magnet to all of the items around. You can also set the range of magnet 1 to 10 blocks’ radius, after which any item within that radius will teleport to your inventory. If the inventory is full, it will follow you around.

The tool is very overpowered because of its very easy crafting recipe; you craft this with 2 iron ingots, 2 redstone dust.

As a building maniac in Minecraft Bedrock myself, it is one of my favourites as well. It helps the players to place several blocks at once with a single tap. You can sneak and interact with it to open an interface with a toggle bar, from there you can change the number of blocks to place in a single tap.

For example, if you have set 5 blocks, it will place blocks in a single tap. Also, in the same interface, you can set it to horizontal or vertical placement.

This is a very helpful feature, especially if you travel to faraway structures. If you have this activated and die, your items will not despawn. Instead, they will get stored in a special chest that looks like Excalibur.

Moreover, if you forget your coordinates, there is no need to worry. The addon sends the exact coordinates of your death in the chat.

In the world utilities controller, you can customize whether these coordinates are visible to all players or kept private for your use only.

Tools

A lot of new tools were added in this addon as well, each with some unique abilities. One customization that is common in all of the tools is that the durability of each can be toggled on or off. Also, I noticed that many of the tools can be enchanted as well, such as the harvestor hoe!

You can craft this with 3 TNTs and 2 sticks, similar to the crafting recipe of a pickaxe. Many players use a TNT mining method in the Nether, which is similar to the idea of this pickaxe. You can mine with this pickaxe, blowing off the blocks, but with no damage to you.

As its name suggests, it is just a pickaxe, but mines in a 3×3 radius. It makes mining pretty fast and increases the chances of finding diamonds. You can craft this with 3 diamond pickaxes and 2 sticks.

Sometimes, the end portal gets spawned thousands of blocks away from your spawn, and it gets pretty difficult to go forth and back unless you get an elytra. Wouldn’t it have been better if you could have somehow transported the end portal anywhere, like a nether portal?

Well, creators noticed this and added the end frame breaker, which can be crafted with a diamond pickaxe, 3 end stones, and 3 Ender eyes. It has a durability of 12 uses, meaning a whole end portal.

As I told you before, creators added durability for each tool to be customized individually. You can either make this tool overpower or just a one-time use with durability on.

It’s basically a three-in-one tool and works as a pickaxe, axe, and a shovel. However, it is quite difficult to craft as you need 6 honey blocks, a diamond pickaxe, a diamond axe, and a diamond shovel. It can also be upgraded into netherite like any other diamond tool.

This tool basically allows you to break and obtain a spawner; however, it is also quite overpowered, as when I used this tool, I was able to change the mob it naturally spawned to any of the given options, such as zombie, skeleton, cave spider, spider, silverfish, blaze, magmacube. So, if I found a zombie spawner, I can just change it into a blaze spawner by breaking it with a spawner wrench.

It is craftable with an obsidian and 4 iron ingots and has a durability to break 3 spawners.

This is a very useful item for mining, especially in deep and dark caves. It provides dynamic light, which means the area around you stays lit as you move, making mining much easier and safer.

You can place the Miner’s Lantern in your offhand, but there is one downside. You will have to sacrifice your totem to use it.

It’s basically a regular hoe but with an ability to replant the crops back when harvesting. As a regular hoe, it can be enchanted as well.

It’s a two-in-one tool that works as both a hoe and a shovel. You can also toggle its durability on or off in the settings. When used as a shovel, it breaks multiple dirt blocks at a time in a 3×3 radius, similar to a multiblock pickaxe.

The Safari Net is a simple tool for moving mobs without building leads, boats, or long traps. You tap on a mob to capture it, then tap again to release it wherever you want. Just keep in mind it is a one time use, meaning once you release the mob, you will lose it.

Also, if you are thinking of using it to trap a mob and release it into a spawner, it will not work for that, so the Spawner Wrench is the better option.

This is a simple but powerful utility block. Anything you put inside the Void Chest will instantly disappear once you close the chest. It is perfect for getting rid of unwanted items without throwing them into lava or burning them manually.

You can craft it using a normal chest, 7 magma blocks, and a lava bucket, which is helpful for players like me who do a lot of mining and want to clean their inventory quickly without any effort. But you will have to use this very carefully, as anything that goes into it will disappear as soon as you close the void chest without any reversing option.

This feature is very useful for traveling around your world. You can stand anywhere and click on Homes to create a new home at your current location. You can name it and save it as a waypoint.

Once saved, you can open Homes again, tap on any home you created, and choose to teleport to it or edit its name. This lets you return to the exact coordinates from anywhere in the world.

You can save multiple homes with different names, which is great for bases, farms, etc. There is also a teleport delay option that works like a short countdown before teleporting. Both the teleport delay and the total number of homes a player can set can be customized in the Homes section of the World Utilities Controller settings.

This item is used to secure your chests and keep your items safe. Once you craft a Lock, you simply have to tap on a chest to lock it.

That specific Lock becomes the only key that can unlock the chest, so you need to be careful not to lose it. Without the lock, no one else will be able to open the chest, which makes it very useful for multiplayer worlds.

This block can be placed just like a crafting table and is used to extract your experience points. Once you interact with it, you can choose how much experience you want to extract, such as 7, 160, 1395, or even all of it at once.

After extracting, the experience is stored inside a bottle. You can keep these bottles for later use or give them to other players, which makes it very useful for sharing experience or saving it safely when going in caves for mining.

The Chunk Minion is used to keep the surrounding area always loaded, which makes it ideal for keeping farms working even when you are far away. However, it will not work for farms that require a player nearby, such as golem farms.

You can craft the Chunk Minion using an ender pearl and 4 iron ingots. Once placed, you can sneak and interact with it to enable or disable it and adjust the loaded chunks from 1×1 to 3×3 radius at maximum.

This is just a reverse of the enchanting table; you can use this to remove enchantments from your tools. When you tap a tool on the Disenchanter, it will show how many enchantments the tool has. For example, if it shows 5 enchantments, you will need to tap 5 empty books on it.

Once the process is complete, the block will drop each enchantment separately in book form with your tool with 0 enchantments. If you want to cancel the disenchanting process, you can simply sneak and interact with it. Before the update, the block had to be broken to cancel, but this has now been improved.

This is very helpful because many times you may find good tools with useless enchantments like Curse of Vanishing or might find wooden or iron tools with rare enchantments like Mending, which you can extract and later use on your diamond tools.

The Portal Pad is a cheap elevator block that lets you move vertically above and below without using ladders or scaffolding.

You can craft it using a piston and any wooden pressure plate. To make it work, you need to place two or more Portal Pads vertically above or below each other, with no blocks in between. The maximum distance it works within is 100 blocks, and if there are any blocks in between, it will not work.

You can wear it instead of your chestplate to fly, just like you can fly in creative mode. It’s also quite easy to craft as well; you just need 6 copper ingots, 2 coal, and a lava bucket.

Vertical speed can be toggled from 1 to 3 in the World Utilities Controller. Instead of durability, it works using charcoal or coal to recharge, which makes it reusable.

The Grab Bag works similarly to a Shulker Box, but has only 5 storage slots compared to 27 storage slots in a Shulker Box. It is much easier to make, crafted with only 5 wool, 1 chest, and 1 string.

You can craft it in 16 different colors, including yellow, white, black, green, red, purple, blue, pink, brown, cyan, orange, gray, light gray, lime, light blue, and magenta, by using different colors of wool.

You can craft the Scuba Tank using 6 copper and 3 glass bottles, which is a very helpful item for underwater exploration. You can place it in your offhand and get a limited time water breathing effect.

It includes a percentage display that shows how much charge is left before the water breathing runs out. The tank automatically recharges once you are entirely out of the water. However, there is a small bug where the charge still decreases even if your head is out of the water, unless your entire body is out.

While playing, I also noticed that you cannot remove it from your offhand until it is fully recharged. This also seems like a bug and may get fixed in later updates.

Warps work very similarly to Homes, but the main differences include that Homes are private, while anyone can access Warps, and you can travel in different dimensions with Warps, unlike Homes. The overall system works the same way.

By default, you can create up to 5 warp points, but it can be increased up to 10 warp points in the world utilities controller settings.

You can craft Warps using 5 cobblestones, a glass block, and a wooden plank. This might seem very overpowered in multiplayer worlds, so the creators have added a cool down option as well, which can be toggled in the world utilities controller.

The Amethyst Breaker is a special tool that allows you to mine Budding Amethyst blocks, which is not possible in Vanilla Minecraft, even with a Silk Touch pickaxe, as it breaks and disappears when mined. You can craft it very easily, with 4 Amethyst Shards and a Stick.

To use it properly, you need to crouch and tap while holding the tool, however, it has very a very low durability, as when I was testing, I only mined 11 Budding Amethyst blocks and around 31 Amethyst Shards, before the tool broke, that’s why the creators made it possible to enable or disable it’s durability in the World Utilities Controller settings.

This is a variation of a regular hopper but equipped with a magnet, as anything within its radius gets teleported to it, on top of it precisely. You can craft it with a normal hopper and a honey block.

Also, if you tap it while crouching, you can toggle its radius settings from 1 block to a maximum of 16 blocks.

In previous versions, you needed to connect a chest at the bottom of the suction hopper, which has now been improved, as you can connect it to a chest like any regular hopper.

The Watering Can can be crafted with an empty bucket and 4 iron ingots. It is pretty similar to bone meal in functionality, as it increases the growth of crops. To use it, you first need to fill it with water, just like you would fill a normal bucket, and tap the Watering Can on crops to speed up their growth, working in a 3×3 radius.

You can also tap it on dirt or grass blocks to convert them into farmland. It does not have durability, but needs to be refilled after a certain number of uses.

Also, while I was playing, I noticed that it didn’t work on saplings, which either is a bug or maybe it is supposed to work like this.

World Utilities Controller (Settings)

To toggle the settings of this addon, you have to interact with the World Utilities Controller or else the Admin of the world can also type the /controller command in the chat to access the settings.

As you interact with the world utilities controller or use the /controller command, a new interface will appear on your screen with all of the options. These options include global settings, all of the abilities, such as vein miner and all of the new tools, which can be customized individually. One of the customizations that is common in all of the abilities and tools is to enable or disable each of them individually, which means no one will be able to craft or find that specific one.

Global Settings

The first option is the global settings. You can tap it and change two main settings of the addon, the first one being the durability of all the new tools added globally, such as the multiblock pickaxe, etc, which also can be toggled individually for each of the tools added.

A very unique concept has been introduced in this addon, by which now you can attain abilities such as miner’s essential, magnet and a lot of others. To attain them, you will have to craft them as items and turn them on. In this new update, creators added an option in the global settings that basically allows you to retain the abilities you turned on before, even if you lost them or stored them somewhere safe.

How to download World Utilities Addon in your pre-existing world?

First and foremost, you need to purchase and download the actual World Utilities Addon from the Minecraft Marketplace. Once done, you have to edit your pre-existing world, go to behavior packs, open the “my packs” dropdown list and from there scroll to find the world utilities addon. Click it, and activate it.

Conclusion

This blog covers all of the new items, including all of the abilities and tools. I noticed it to be very similar to the Essentials addon. We will try to keep it updated as any new versions of this addon are introduced.
